The 54th BFI London Film Festival - Closing Film

127 Hours, the latest offering from Oscar winning British director Danny Boyle, has been selected as the closing film of this year's London Film Festival.

The film tells the true story of Aron Ralston - played in the film by James Franco - an American mountain climber who became trapped whilst out climbing alone in 2003. Miles from anywhere and with no other way of escaping, Ralston was forced into making the horrific decision to amputate his own arm in order to survive.

The 54th BFI London Film Festival will run from 13th to 28th October, with the festival's full programme due to be announced in September.

The 54th BFI London Film Festival - Opening Film

Adapted from Kazuo Ishiguro's widely acclaimed novel, Never Let Me Go has been announced as the opening film for this year's London Film Festival. Never Let Me Go tells the story of Ruth (Knightley), Kathy (Mulligan) and Tommy (Garfield) whose idyllic existence at a boarding school in England belies the disturbing secret regarding what the future holds for...

Many years later, Bird On A Wire was only available on bootleg VHS and it was believed that any original film had been lost forever.

In 2009, however, almost 300 rolls of film were discovered in an old Hollywood warehouse and once it was established what they were, the cans were sent to Palmer by Frank Zappa\'s manager Herb Cohen, Palmer having previously worked on cult Zappa film 200 Motels. At first it seemed that none of what he\'d been...

Starting out as a series of comics, Modern Toss has since made its sweary way into books, TV and DVD, as well as onto numerous items of merch including greetings cards, tea towels and clothing. Among their many inspired comic creations are Mr. Tourette, a French sign maker who disregards the requests of his customers to create highly inappropriate signage and subsequently informing his client that they must be 'some kind of cunt' for not appreciating his work, Space Argument...
